This concept is mostly discussed with strength training. However, in my experience training clients, this is the secret to every type of training, whether it’s strength, endurance, CrossFit, HIIT, whatever.
You might read this article and think, well, duh. But before you have that reaction, I want you to stop and evaluate how YOU workout. And I ask you this because I have seen people in classes NOT do this… week after week (sometimes even despite talking to them about it). So after reading this, ask yourself: “Do I do this almost all of the time (ps- there should be weeks you don’t)? Do I do it on some movements and not others? Do I do it on some types of exercise and not others?” Honestly evaluate yourself.
